About CyberNews
The story behind the project — told honestly
Mohsen
GermanyEx Team leader in the past. Frisbee player by weekend. Cybersecurity student by choice.
I'm in my 30s, based in Germany, and I spent years leading a team of over 20 people in my professional life. Three months ago I decided to step into something completely new — cybersecurity and web development — to keep up with the demands of a fast-changing world.
CyberNews is the result of two weeks of intensive learning. Just learning, breaking things, fixing them, and learning again.
An Honest Note
This website was built as part of a structured learning exercise — guided step by step. I did not invent everything from scratch on my own. I worked with AI tools, teachers, and learning materials throughout the process. What I did is type every line, understand what it does, debug every error, make every design decision, and put in the hours. The learning was real. The effort was real. The project is genuinely mine.
My Journey
First Line of Code
Decided to take cybersecurity seriously. Started with the very basics — terminals, Python, and networking concepts.
HTML, CSS & JavaScript
Built the front end from scratch. Learned about structure, styling, and making pages interactive.
Flask, Databases & Security
Connected Python to a real database. Added user authentication, admin panel, and security hardening.
CyberNews is Live
Running on a real VPS in production. Hardened, monitored, and genuinely secure. Next stop: my personal website.
Personal Website
Building my own personal web presence using everything I learned here.
Skills Gained
Biggest Challenge
"Connecting all the different parts of the puzzle — making HTML talk to JavaScript, JavaScript talk to Flask, Flask talk to the database, and all of it stay secure. Each piece made sense alone. Making them work together was the real challenge."
